To help smart women gain the skills, confidence and network needed to achieve their career ambitions.
Supporting women throughout their career journey is at the heart of what we do at AllBright. That’s why we set up our Academy, to help women gain the skills, confidence and network needed to achieve their goals.
Our free 10-week digital programme encompasses two courses designed to reflect the experiences of our founders.
‘Doing it For Yourself’ is aimed at aspiring or early stage female founders whilst ‘Smashing the Glass Ceiling’ is for women in businesses large or small who are looking to develop professionally.
Both courses will consider common topics that contribute to your success as a working woman – from defining your ambitions and working out what motivates you, to considering your work life balance and building your network. You will then be provided with specialist content depending on which course you have chosen to study, before coming back for two final modules focusing on self-reflection and resilience.
DOING IT FOR YOURSELF
Debbie Wosskow OBE leads the course for female founders and entrepreneurs, with faculty members including Cassandra Stavrou, the founder of Propercorn, Alice Bentinck MBE, founder of startup accelerator Entrepreneur First, Pip Brook, marketing director at Vita Coco and Pippa Murray, founder of Pip&Nut. This course is for the early stage or aspiring female founders who are looking to explore the specifics of running a business. As such, on Doing it For Yourself we cover modules including basic accountancy, customer and product development, marketing, PR and hiring a team. Our weekly modules will equip female entrepreneurs with the skills needed to drive your business forward and achieve that next stage of growth.
SMASHING THE GLASS CEILING
Anna Jones leads our course for women working within organisations and looking to grow professionally. This course includes insights from some incredibly inspiring women, not least Sinead Burke, broadcaster and activist, founder of makeup brand Eyeko, Nina Leykind, and Nicola Mendelsohn CBE, VP Facebook for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The course will focus on helping women carve out their career path, whatever industry they’re in, with modules on building confidence, learning to own the room, finding your communication style and negotiating effectively. This side focuses on equipping women with practical tools to achieve their ambitions at work.
We are delighted to offer bespoke content from our impressive faculty of inspiring women, including design entrepreneur Cath Kidston, Cosmopolitan editor-in-chief Farrah Storr, Karen Blackett OBE, chairwoman of Mediacom UK and Sarah Wood, the founder of Unruly to name just a few.
We welcome applications for either course from women at all stages of their career.
Become an AllBright Academy Ambassador
We know that great things happen when women come together. Alongside our digital programme content, we offer in-person meet-ups for our participants. This is an opportunity for everyone enrolled on the Academy to continue learning, whilst also connecting with like-minded women working or living in their local area.
Our Ambassadors are AllBright representatives, using their experience to host monthly meet-ups and ensure the magic doesn’t end once the 10-week course concludes. Academy Ambassadors play a central role in the Academy Alumni network, the optional community all Academy graduates are invited to join.
If you are an experienced female leader who would like to volunteer your time as an Academy Ambassador, we would be delighted to receive your application. Please be aware we ask for a commitment of four hours per month for a 12 month period.
Ambassador applications are now closed, they will open again in due course.
