Today, AllBright is incredibly excited to announce that we have acquired Australian media company The Grace Tales and officially launched in Australia (our global sisterhood grows and grows!). We have so much planned for our Australian community, but first, let's get to know Georgie Abay, the founder of The Grace Tales and our new Head of AllBright Australia.

Hello! It’s so nice to meet you. I’m Georgie Abay, the new Head of AllBright Australia. I’ve been waiting weeks to say hello to you, and reminded that patience is a virtue (it’s just not my virtue – not even motherhood has changed my impatient nature).

Today, AllBright has acquired The Grace Tales, the media company I founded years ago when I first became a mother.

As a new (and young – sigh) mum, my ‘why’ for starting The Grace Tales was simply to support, inspire and connect mothers. I wanted to do what I love doing most, share stories. I wanted to remind women that whatever they’ve been through, or they’re going through, they’re not alone. Ever. I started the business when I worked at VOGUE, and for the first year, I would just post to the website (or blogs as they were called back then) a couple of times a week. It was a passion project and opened me up to the new world of motherhood which I was in the thick of. Connecting with every woman I interviewed was like therapy and it reminded me of how powerful story-telling was in creating real connections.

As my two daughters have grown and soon will become little women, I want to not only continue to support the mothers in our community, but inspire all women, no matter what life stage they’re at, to believe they can do anything they set their minds to.

My dream was to be able to expand our business to offer our readers and members engaging online courses, a constant stream of events – both digital and IRL – and of course, brilliant content. As The Grace Tales becomes AllBright Australia, I’ll be able to do all of the above and more – and I can’t tell you how excited that makes me.  I can’t wait for you to meet all the women in the AllBright Australia community – extraordinary women such as Aminata Conteh-Biger and Annabelle Williams. You’re already here, so you know and love AllBright. You know it’s a UK-headquartered women only members' club and digital network, co-founded by two phenomenal women, former Hearst UK CEO, Anna Jones, and Love Home Swap co-founder, Debbie Wosskow OBE.

I personally discovered AllBright a few years ago. They had member clubs in London, and then in LA, and ran an incredibly impressive number of events. Last year, they launched AllBright Digital – which meant that wherever you were in the world, you could experience their offering. I became a member and started to do a deep dive into their world. The offering was endless – and it was completely aligned with my long-term vision for The Grace Tales. It was like my vision board had been brought to life. Events, education, content, a thriving online community, mentoring and more, I discovered AllBright was something that all working women would benefit from. As a member, I started connecting with other women. I started doing their Academy courses and I started attending their digital events (IRL events were put on hold due to a horribly nasty virus the world can’t seem to shake).

The idea of joining forces was raised, and to be honest, it was a dream come true. It means many things. Firstly, that I will be continuing my mission of celebrating and championing all women and helping them to supercharge their careers. Secondly, that as part of a bigger company, I will be able to offer our loyal readers and followers an incomparable platform, unlike anything else in the market. And finally, that I am able to work for an exceptional global company doing what I love doing most – writing, editing, interviewing and adding inspiration to your lives through the stories we share and the connections we create.

I can’t wait to connect with you all.

Georgie
