Food waste is a pressing global issue. At least one third of the world’s total food produce is discarded; enough to feed 870 million people. 40% of fruit and vegetables are rejected before reaching shelves, considered ugly, misshapen, too big or too small – yet they remain edible.
In a bid to cut down the capital’s food waste mountain and inspire a more conscious approach to cooking, AllBright’s Executive Chef, Sabrina Gidda, and Mayfair’s Head Chef, Lale Oztek, will don their kitchen aprons and put their culinary skills to the test in a head to head challenge – Ready, Steady, Cook style.
Each Chef will be given an odd box of leftover ingredients – taken from the AllBright kitchens and cupboards and curated by Ann Storr of StorrCupboard.
This is an exclusive opportunity to sit at The AllBright Mayfair’s Chef’s Counter and enjoy an evening of kitchen theatrics whilst learning the secrets sustainable cooking and preparing food under pressure.
Your ticket includes:
• A welcome glass of Veuve Clicquot
• 5-course tasting menu
• Wine flight
• Limited edition AllGreen goody bag
