PLASTIC TRUTHS WITH KIKO MATTHEWS AND NATALIE FEE

September 23, 2019 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm BST

In the face of the plastic pollution epidemic that leaves no part of this earth unaffected, the plastic free movement is making significant waves. There is a lot of information out there about the plastic pollution problem. On the first day of AllGreen week, AllBright members will learn from Kiko Matthews and Natalie Fee about the plastic truths everyone should know.

They will share tips on living more consciously, how single-use plastic waste is harming our planet and how something as simple as using a refillable water bottle changes your impact on the planet.

Kiko Matthews

After being diagnosed with a life-threatening brain tumour, Kiko broke the female cross-Atlantic solo rowing record in 2018. She is the founder of social enterprise Kik-Plastic which built a community against plastic through cycling 7000km around the UK and Ireland’s coasts cleaning beaches along the way.

Natalie Fee

Natalie is an award-winning environmental campaigner, author, speaker, and founder of City to Sea, a non-profit organisation running campaigns to stop plastic pollution at source. She appears regularly as an expert on television and news media and gives frequent motivational talks, including a TEDx talk on the devastating effect of plastic in our oceans. Natalie Fee’s upcoming book, How to Save the World for Free, published on 21 October, will be exclusively available after the talk.

Frederikke Magnussen

Frederikke will chair this event and is the Co-Founder of Plastic Planet – an organisation with the goal to ignite and inspire the world to turn off the plastic tap.
