A SUPPER CLUB CHALLENGING STEREOTYPES HOSTED WITH ACCLAIMED AUTHOR ALYA MOORO

October 30, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm GMT

Hosted by Alya Mooro, The Greater Freedom Supper Club will explore issues such as religion and tradition to coming of age, rebellion, sex and relationships within the confines of societies stereotypes. Alya will get to the heart of the blessings and burdens many women carry as they learn to balance two different cultures – usually feeling that they don’t fully belong in either.

Guests will indulge their curiosity and unearth new favourites from our Middle Eastern inspired menu curated by AllBright Head Chef, Lale Oztek, paired with a refreshing glass of wine or soft drink.

Alya is a representative voice for both her generation, and for multi-cultural women everywhere and was named Glamour’s 20 Nu-Gen Feminists To Know Now. The Greater Freedom is Alya’s exploration of the reality of life as a Middle Eastern woman living in a western society.

Included in your ticket price will be an ‘in conversation’ with Alya, followed by a short reading and Q&A. We will also be serving a Middle Eastern mezze board and a drink (house wine or soft drink).
