AllBright members are invited to join journalist and debut author Alya Mooro for an evening of thought-provoking discussion and delicious food.
The Greater Freedom is Alya’s exploration of the reality of life as a Middle Eastern woman living in a western society.
From issues such as religion and tradition to coming of age, rebellion, sex and relationships, Alya gets to the heart of the blessings and burdens many women carry as they learn to balance two different cultures – usually feeling that they don’t fully belong in either.
Included in your ticket price will be an ‘in conversation’ event where Alya will be interviewed, followed by a short reading and Q&A. We will also be serving a Middle Eastern mezze board and a drink (house wine or soft drink).
