The AllBright welcomes Salon London known as ‘The capital’s go-to cultural series’ (Evening Standard) to Rathbone Place. Salon London seeks out the brightest and boldest ideas from experts, authors and academics, and puts them together with audiences in entertaining, enlightening Salons
Founder Helen Bagnall wanted to create a Salon for AllBright that celebrates the joy in eating and drinking together, highlight how the act of welcoming and feeding strangers can transcend borders and to shine a light on the kindness and generosity of the oncoming season.
We’re inviting you for a delicious two course feast and to join the heartwarming and thought-provoking discussion of hospitality by renowned author, and founder of Authors for Peace and contributing Guardian journalist Priya Basil.
Through beautiful stories crossing countries and cultures, Priya will explore the private and political aspects of being a host, guest and stranger. As she says ”We live in a world where some have too much and others not enough, where immigrants and refugees are both welcomed and vilified, and where most of us spend less and less time cooking and eating together, eating together with friends and family can be where the best conversations take place – talk about the world, religion, politics, culture, love and cooking.”
Don’t miss this special Salon an opportunity to be inspired and think deeper about the art of hosting whilst connecting with our member community.
Tickets include a delicious two course sharing feast.
