In the third instalment of her series of talks with Inspirational People, journalist and transitional life coach Frédérique Andréani will be in conversation with fashion designer and artist Nicole Farhi CBE.
For 30 years, Nicole was at the forefront of fashion, after having launched her eponymous fashion label in 1982: at its height, her brand spanned from New York to Tokyo, and included not only fashion but also homeware, cafes and restaurants. In 2012, she decided to leave fashion behind to focus on her true passion: sculpture.
During the talk, Nicole will tell us about her experience as a successful fashion entrepreneur and about her transition to art, and will share anecdotes about creating the busts of her famous friends, including Judi Dench and Anna Wintour, as well as being half of a creative power couple with her husband, the twice Oscar-nominated David Hare. The talk will be followed by a Q&A session with the audience.
Over a career spanning 20 years, Frédérique Andreani has interviewed dozens of personalities and celebrities, such as Tony Blair, Vincent Cassel, Jamie Oliver, James Dyson, Boris Johnson, Paul Smith and Roland Mouret. Sha has worked alongside high profile CEOs, entrepreneurs, chefs and creatives, as well as with criminals, law enforcers and charities. As a life coach and founder of The Good Hedonist, she specialises in lifestyle and career changes.
