OVERCOMING THE FEAR OF PUBLIC SPEAKING: A CRASH COURSE IN STORYTELLING

The stories you craft about yourself and your brand are imperative to make a lasting impression. In this interactive and dynamic workshop we will look at the three “C”s of courageous verbal storytelling: Commit, Craft and Connect.
Public speaking is necessary for workplace success, and yet too many professionals are held back by fear. In this workshop, International Public Speaking Coach, Eduardo Placer, will give participants the practical, physical and mental hacks needed to present confidently and joyously in front of any audience. Participants will learn how to engage their bodies and voices to turn the fear of public speaking into excitement.

CEO and Founder of Fearless Communicators and Story Doula. Eduardo is a social impact entrepreneur, global community builder and international public speaker. He was a professional actor for 15 years working all over the United States. While in the MFA Acting Program at UC San Diego, Eduardo began to teach public speaking to university students. This was fertile training ground for developing a speaking technique that is physical, emotional and intellectual. Other projects include Carnegie Hall’s The Somewhere Project, The Daedalus Project at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Fearless Futures Campaigns for the SCHAP Community School in rural SE Kenya. Eduardo has a BA in English from the University of Pennsylvania and an MFA in Acting from the University of California, San Diego.
