AllBright member Astrid Jacoby is the founder of Little Hands Design, a charity providing an educational platform for sharing the skills it takes to lead a more sustainable life. Shilpa Bilimoria is the creative director and founder of label House of Bilimoria, a luxury upcycle atelier that provides slow fashion for the whole family.
Astrid and Shilpa will be coming together to provide a talk about what sustainability in bite sized chunks looks like. With some easy, practical tips to take away with you and apply to your day to day routines towards a more sustainable lifestyle, translated through the medium of textiles and clothing. Forget feeling guilty about your wardrobe or shopping habits. Start being curious and have fun with your style!
After the talk you will have your chance to learn Japanese Mending techniques. You can bring along an item that needs repair from your own wardrobe or create your own mending patch from some fabulous textiles and leathers donated by Ted Baker & Anya Hindmarch.
There will also be an opportunity to purchase the Little Hands, ‘Fashion First Aid Surgery Kit’ with all proceeds going to our sustainable fashion clubs at Primary & Secondary Schools in London.
