This week’s Members’ Mastermind will be hosted by Sylvie Lui and will introduce vocal coaching for effective communication and public speaking.
In our lives we go through many different experiences that have a positive or negative impact on us, and this begins to shape how we communicate with the world around us. We often do not think about how we speak nor how our voices come across to others. With a bit of help and guidance from a professional voice coach, the exploration of breath and vocal exercises can help us find more impactful ways of using our vocal communication to connect our ideas to others. This can come in the form of using our natural voice, finding the authority and gravitas, controlling the use of upward inflections in our speech, breath control for pause/pace, finding the projection to fill the spaces we are speaking in, and more.
Sylvie is a Chinese – Canadian voice coach based in London, UK. She holds a Masters of Fine Art degree in Voice Studies from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, University of London. She works with global companies and privately with professionals across a varying spectrum of executive, senior & middle level management, entrepreneurs, lawyers/barristers and consultants from all sectors.
