I WEIGH X ALLBRIGHT: PANEL TALK WITH LAUREN MAHON
May 16 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 amFree
Join I Weigh X The AllBright for a panel talk hosted by Lauren Mahon with Kris Hallenga, Jamie Windust and Arooj Aftab.
After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016, Lauren started #GirlvsCancer. Her aim was to share the story of her treatment in an accessible way to tackle the taboo and create a better understanding of the challenges those diagnosed with cancer in their twenties and thirties face.
Jamie Windust is an award-winning editor in chief of FRUITCAKE Magazine, writer, speaker and model. A prominent voice in the UK on non-binary life and she has written for publications such as British GQ, The Independent, Gay Times, Dazed and many more.
Arooj Aftab, 22, is an influencer who is known for her baggy fashion style. She’s thriving in an industry where looks are key, but she’s using the clothes to conceal a genetic condition called neurofibromatosis (NF) type 1 – a condition which causes tumours to grow along her nerves.
Kris Hallenga is the founder of award-winning breast cancer awareness Charity – CoppaFeel! She is the winner of Pride of Britain Award, Cosmopolitan Ultimate Campaigner Award and Outstanding Young Campaigner Award at the DFS Woman of the Year awards.
