Liane has been a pillar of the British jazz and soul scene for over 35 years. Following a sold-out event in July, Ronnie Scott’s and Women in Jazz are returning to The AllBright for a second evening of live jazz this summer. This time, Liane Carroll will take to the stage.
Liane has collaborated with artists including Paul McCartney, Gerry Rafferty, Long John Baldry, Ian Shaw, Claire Martin OBE and drum and bass outfit London Elektricity with whom she headlined Finsbury Parks Hospital in the Park festival and has appeared with them again at Glastonbury Festival.
As a recording artist Liane has gained much critical acclaim. Her latest release Seaside, pays homage to her life by the coast and is her third record with Grammy nominated producer James McMillan of QuietMoney Studios.
Women in Jazz is a London-based organisation, that champions and nurtures the talents of female musicians across the UK Jazz scene. Ronnie Scott’s is one of the oldest and most famous jazz clubs on the planet, celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. It is the place to catch visionary trailblazers and young rising stars, and over the past 60 years has played host to most of the legends and popular names of the jazz and jazz fusion scene.
