As the Brexit deadline draws closer and the future relationship between Britain and the EU becomes more uncertain, we come together to discuss the victories, struggles, defeats and the paths we took as migrant womxn starting a new life and business in a country that’s not our own.

By Definition

“The glass ceiling” is a metaphor for the invisible barrier that prevents some people from rising to senior positions. It’s a subtle but damaging form of discrimination where you cannot attain the opportunities you see in front of you, despite your suitability and your best efforts

“Non-native”: being, relating to, or characteristic of a country other than one’s own

“Migrant”: a person who moves from one place to another, especially in order to find work or better living conditions
